Allen Branch PondVisit Allen Branch Pond off Hwy. 107. This serene and beautiful body of water is a peacful place to spend some time. While we were there, several wild turkeys passed by.
THE FRENCH BROAD RIVER

The French Broad

A Conservation Coalition is forming to protect and enhance one of East Tennessee’s most valuable resources- the French Broad River. Partners are collaborating to create an Open Space corridor of river and land, enhanced for recreation and rural preservation that would include a Blueway, equestrian trail, wildlife refuge, historic sites, natural areas, parks and agricultural land.

MARTHA SUNDQUIST FOREST 
Two hiking trails roughed in, nothing improved. Surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest on three sides. Mature mountain and cove hardwood. Wildlife management area, special provisions for bear hunting, fishing, timber production, hunting demonstration.
